Russia was testing a Weapon in the Arctic Sea: Five Russian engineers killed Thursday in a rocket blast have been buried in the city of Sarab, 5 km east of Moscow.

According to the Russian government nuclear agency Rosatom, the experts were testing a nuclear powered engine. They did not provide any further information about the incident.

The experiment was run on a platform over water in the Arctic Sea. This is a training range of the Russian Navy.

Russia had previously tested the Burevestnik, a nuclear-powered cruise missile.
However, Thursday's test did not say precisely what type of weapon the Russian authorities were carrying.

There is a town called Severodvinsk on the shores of the White Sea about 5 km east of the Noyunska test range. For about 5 minutes after the explosion, there was a sudden increase in radioactive radiation.

City officials said there was an increase of two microservices per hour of radioactive radiation. But then again it slows down. However, the radiation levels are so low that no one is likely to get ill.

Rosatam said three more were injured in the accident. They were kept in the hospital.

Experts from Russia and the West say that there were probably tests on the 'Nine-M-Seven-Thirty-Burevastenic'.

In a speech given to the Russian parliament last year, President Putin mentioned the missile.

In that speech, President Putin said the missile could hit at any distance.

Experts, however - think that five engineers were killed in the accident where different weapons were being tested.
